Something new!

Yesterday we had our offer accepted on a NEW HOUSE!
We had been looking at houses in the last several weeks.
We are going to be renting out our current house and moving into the one above
sometime in September, most likely!
The house is in a beautiful neighborhood in a great location - for those of you familiar with Las Vegas, it is at 215 and Town Center Drive, in the Gardens area of Summerlin.
It has a big yard and is within walking distance from the Las Vegas Farmers Market and one of Carson's favorite playgrounds.
It has plenty of room for us and for guests.
Not to mention, we will be able to have parties again.
It is very exciting!!!!!

More July fun

Pictured: Nana Caryn - in heaven with her grandbabies!!

Pictured: What it's like to hold Samantha...
She is SO WIGGLY. She cannot be stopped.
She now wants to look at everything upside down, meaning that when you hold her, you had better be ready for her to plunge backwards at any given moment.
Carson is getting so big.
New things are...asking people to dance..."Mommy, would you dance with me?"
He loves to "read" his books to us and pretend that he is actually reading.
He opens each book with "Once upon a time....."

We are having a great month! Can't believe it's almost August.

Bonnie Springs

My mom and I took the kids to Bonnie Springs last week for an adventure.
Bonnie Springs is about 20 minutes from our house - nestled in the mountains, it seems a million miles from Vegas as we know it.
We saw "Old Nevada", a big petting zoo (llamas, peacocks, long horned bulls, swans, and burros), and all sorts of treats. Las Vegas is full of surprises - you never know what you will find.

A cool pic of the town...

Samantha - 8 months already!

Samantha is enjoying a busy month being 8 months old.
She has found her voice and babbles all the time now - saying "dadada", "bababa", and "nanana". I think we've heard just one "mama" - she is still working on that one.
She is scooting and rolling all over the place and pulling up to a stand pretty consistently, but she is not crawling yet in the traditional sense.
I am hoping she takes as long as she wants to!
We call Samantha "Wooly Bully" now. She is a true bully. She grabs and pulls hair and scratches at the ones she loves the most.
So if you have endured holding Samantha while she claws at you,
know that it's all in the name of love.
I am not sure how much she weighs at this point but my guess would be that she is close to the big 2-0 pounds. She is HEAVY. Her thighs are thunderous and she sports a baby muffin-top.
She is eating two jars of baby food at each meal, which Carson never did.
I can't believe her appetite!
She is the most loving, happy, perfect baby ever and we love her so much.
She is growing up so fast!

Fun with the Aunties!

Carson and Samantha cruising around Las Vegas with Auntie Annon and Auntie Felecia.
I think this would be one of Papa Dennis' favorite pictures. :)

It's been awhile!

It's been a busy few weeks here and I have not been blogging as much as usual!
First, we got a new laptop and I was waiting to install our digital camera software so that I could load more pictures of the kids onto our blog. We got it in the mail today so I should have some recent pics up and going in the next few days.
The kids are currently having a blast hanging out with their Nana Caryn. She has been here since June 30th and we are having the best time!
We also have my sisters, Annon and Felecia, in town this week.
They are in Vegas for the first time ever.
They are enjoying spending time with us and their niece and nephew.
I have been working two half days per week and I love it.
Jason has been busy at work and last weekend had some law school friends in town for a guys weekend.
We have been looking at houses and we put an offer out on one the other day!!!
I will post more about this later but we are pretty excited about the idea of having more room around us and a chance for family to stay with us again. We will see what happens!
Jason and I have been watching these kids grow by the minute.
Carson and Samantha are doing so well.
Samantha's thighs are thunderous and she is ever closer to full crawling.
I am trying to stall her but it's not going to fly much longer.
Carson's little mind is going 100 miles per hour, absorbing everything in the world he can.
He knows all of his colors, shapes, most numbers, ABCs, some spanish words, and his vocabulary is expanding daily. He is enjoying showing off his knowledge to his Nana and his Aunties.
I will post some pictures soon.
