During the 3D we also got to see Carson attempt to take a bite out of the umbilical cord AND stick 3 of his fingers in his eye.

Makes me wonder what else he's doing in there when we're not watching him!!

No doubt, he's getting into trouble. :)

28 Week Ultrasound Report and Photos

We had two ultrasounds on Wednesday! One was at the perinatologist's office. Dr. Bolnick, Carson's perinatologist, is focused on measuring his growth to make sure that it's on track. Ummm, it is. Carson weighs in at 3 lbs, 3 oz right now. His head circumference is in the 98th percentile for babies his age (!!!). Let's just say our son is a bit on the hefty side. Hey, he's not fat, he's just big boned!! Anyway, we were excited to see that he's more than on track. Everything the doctor could see looked great. We also went to do a 3D ultrasound that same day. 28 weeks is a great time to do the 3D because the baby still has fluid around it and can be seen easily. We got some amazing images of Carson in real time. I am having trouble posting all of them in one post, so I will try to post more in another one. Time is going by so fast! Carson continues to kick me all the time - I am constantly reminded that he is living in my body. He makes his presence known! This weekend I have another baby shower with all of my girlfriends here in Las Vegas. I will be sure to post pics. Much love to all of our friends and fam tracking Carson from afar!

28 Weeks

12 Weeks to go before my due date....

It is so darn cute, I can barely stand it.

His crib, changing table, and dresser are fabulous.

His glider should be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Carson's Chicago shower 2/17/08 - 27 Weeks

My Mom hosted a beautiful shower for me back in Chicago on Sunday the 17th. So many relatives and friends were able to be there! I was overwhelmed by how many people came to shower us with wonderful baby gifts. Carson is so lucky to already have so many people that love him! Here are a few pictures from the fun weekend.
Thanks to everyone who was able to come. It was one of my favorite days ever!

We also had another doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything looks great and I am all signed up to start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now. I believe I go every 2 weeks until Week 36, when I will start to go every week. We have another ultrasound next week on the 27th.

26 Weeks

My bump has grown to proportions that allow it to be used as a coffee table/shelf when sitting.

This weekend, my bump accomodated a variety of items, including an Us Weekly magazine, a glass of San Pellegrino water, and a cup of yogurt. It's rather convenient! One "con" of having a shelf-like bump is that it does attract food particles which may be carried with me throughout the day until someone is nice enough to point out that I have crumbs all over it.

This weekend, Carson's room was painted a very cute blue. It looks adorable.

We set up a time for his crib and furniture to be delivered in 2 weeks.

This weekend we are going to Chicago for my baby shower!! My mom is hosting everyone at Palos Country Club - I cannot wait. We can't wait to see the family!

25 Weeks

Carson takes the Palazzo

Last night we took a trip down to LV Blvd and checked out the new Palazzo Hotel.
We ate at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club and took of tour of it. I think when Jason goes to heaven someday, it might look a little bit like the 40/40 Club. It is like a luxury sports bar with massive TVs everywhere, complete with gold plated dance floor. We also had a cool celeb spotting when Barry Bonds walked by our table. He looked a little...shall we say....muscular??

Almost 25 Week Ultrasound

Carson's ultrasound was great yesterday! The doctor got all the measurements he needed because Carson was more cooperative this time. All the views of his heart and spine looked perfect. He weighs about 1 lb 10 oz right now, which is in the 50th percentile for babies his age. I noticed his head circumference is within normal limits....we'll hope this stays consistent for birthing reasons! :) We'll have another ultrasound in 4 weeks to make sure his growth stays on track. So far he is growing just as he should be. We didn't get many pictures of him yesterday but we got a great foot shot. We also were able to see Carson yawn (must be tired with all the kicking he does) and flash the peace sign....Peace out to his parental units!
